About me

I am a researcher, writer, and comics maker based in New York.

I have a PhD in English from Stony Brook University, where I drew my doctoral dissertation as a comic. "Drawing Unbelonging" was generously supported by a grant from the Mellon Foundation and the American Council of Learned Society.

In both my creative and academic work, I focus on how comics can be utilized by scholars and artists alike in healthcare justice, in environmental humanities, in resisting disinformation, and in espousing an equitable future for all. My work has been published in The Washington Post, The Nib, amongst others.

My debut book,
This Beautiful, Ridiculous City, is now out in the world (and getting glowing reviews from The Washington Post, NPR, Associated Press, Financial Times!)
